Q3 Finish-A-Long List

Ok, so I'm back to writing a hope-to-finish list for the next 3 months. So here goes...

1.This top needs quilting and binding.

2. I want to get this ripple crochet blanket finished.

3. These blocks still need to get into a quilt

4. And my travelling circle quilt top still needs to be moved on from being just a top...

Yep, forever the optimist...

Winter is here...finally..

So it finally feels like winter has hit us after a very mild May and June

The poor old trees and plants don't know what they are supposed to be up to, with a bit of rain and the last weeks of warmth.

Life has been chaotic here with sick kids, end of financial year stuff and the usual bits and pieces.

Unfortunately we had a nasty visit from some roaming dogs two weeks ago and we found our two beautiful bunnies dead. Gorgeous Girl was, understandably, very upset but decided that little bunny hugs might make her feel better so we welcomed Ivy and William into the family. They are already affectionate little things and very sweet.

We are off on holidays next week so hopefully I will get a bit of time to do some crafting?! (after I finish the 15 sparkly skirts I need to make for a school dance performance!) So hope you have a good week. Stay warm, put the feet up and enjoy a warm beverage..

Happy Mother's Day

Hope everyone had a happy Mother's Day. After coordinating wrapping over 1000 gifts for our school's Mother's Day stall I am hoping for a quieter week.

School Holidays

I don't know about you but I spend my life thinking that when school holidays hit, that life will be less busy - no lunches, sport, uniforms- forgetting of course the amount of time having the kids home takes up. Between feeding them, breaking up fights, trying to find things for them to do, I then look forward to getting them back to school for a bit of peace.....forgetting of course that once again the lunches, sport every afternoon, uniforms, homework will begin!!

So no crafting but lots of time enjoying the lovely weather...

Busy, busy, busy...

It's been a really hectic month, and the next month doesn't look much better, so I'm sorry if I'm not around much.

Parenting is a learning curve.  I've now realized that saying to my children, before entering the Local Show, "now here is some money. I don't care what you spend it on, but don't ask for any more..", isn't such a great idea.Cause this is what they come home with.... 

Apparently the first bunny was lonely...

I'm currently packing hundreds of parcels for our school's Mother's Day stall....and it's taking over my house! So no spare time for crafting.

Anyway in light of that, here's something I found amusing....
