Travelling Circle Bee

October was my month on the Travelling Circles Bee and here are the blocks I have received so far..

Any bright sparks out there got any ideas on setting/sashing?? What colours, what styles? Any suggestions gratefully received... I originally thought I would just join them together, no sashing but with the dotty background, the dots are not going to meet up properly etc..which may drive me dotty!!
Thanks...

  1. Maybe on point with some triangle pieced corners to bring them back to square to add even more colour

  2. I am the same with mismatched dots! The blocks look great...scrappy sashing?...on point or straight with a garden maze sashing as they are flowers?...scrappy single irish chain? Whatever you do, it will look great!

  3. Hi!
I am a new follower from Les Quilts! Love your blog!
What about if you turned them on point, maybe used white sashing and for an inner border. I like to use cornerstones to make sure my blocks line up when I put them together. You could use white corner stones too, but what if you put little circles inside the cornerstones? Or yoyo's? Then, if you don't have any fabric leftovers from the people who made the blocks, raid your stash and use small squares in similar colours, for your outside border? squares could be about 3.5 - 4.5 inches? Your sashing maybe cut at 2.5 inches? You have some great blocks as your starting point, so you have lots of great options!
    Good luck, take care, Leslie
